Thanks again to arun.yothin for sharing with us all. This is an excellent issue of Adam from 1966. Adam was at its peak here, and this is one of my favorite issues of "The Man's Home Companion". Raquel Welch is on the cover. Raquel wasn't a star yet. In fact, her appearance here was to promote the movie "Fantastic Voyage", the movie that DID make her a star. Alas, poor Raquel's movies got worse and worse until she starred in "Myra Breckinridge", which pretty much sank her movie career.
Adam had the beautiful services of Miss Welch, but only for this one issue and only for the front and back covers. While Raquel had done a number of pin-ups by 1966, she was moving away from the cheesecake and into films. That's a loss for all of us.
This is a great issue of Adam though. Lots of great writers, including Harlan Ellison and John Steinbeck. No Bill Ward cartoons, but Ward was out of Adam by now, working almost exclusively for Sex to Sexty, Hurmorama, and Cracked Magazine.
Enjoy a great issue, and thanks, arun!
