A strange offering tonight. Wiccasploitation?! I'd say so. 32 pages long, some of the magazine is printed on a thick plastic which I can't say I've seen too much of. An exploitation mag of the variety Tom Brinkmann classifies as "Devilish Mags" in the second volume of his BAD MAGS series, the most notorious title (of which I've never happened on an actual copy) being Bitchcraft and its successor Witches and Bitches. I kid you not. He's got cover images of selected issues of magazines he puts in the genre on his web page here: http://www.badmags.com/bmoccultsex.html Of course, some of those magazines like Satan were close in content to Playboy or pretty much typical of the other magazines in their line like Pagan, Black Magic or Satana. I wouldn't exactly call this magazine harmless (there's staged sacrifice scenes), but there's no blood or terror happening, and it's pretty much just a campy and strange nudie/fetish mag. Some heavy metal bands I like have used graphics from Bitchcraft, so I've always kept an eye out just to see an issue, and I came across this title which Brinkmann doesn't mention in his book and had to scan it.
