Black Silk Stockings-Batters Publications Inc.

Photographer Elmer Batters created Black Silk Stockings in early 1958. When Batters was forced to sell off his titles at the end of that year, Black Silk Stockings went to Valley Publications. From there, it ended up in a number of hands. "Black Silk Stockings" is a generic enough term, so Period Publications created a completely separate title by that name which did not continue Batters' numbering system. As such, it's not listed here and has its own, separate page for the title. Sari Publications also had its own version of the title but we have not yet seen a cover. All others are included here because A) they relied on a continuation of Batters' numbering (AFAIK) and B) they were, at least obliquely, continuing his original title.
