Cloud 9-American Art Agency (Parliament)

Publisher Name:
American Art Agency (Parliament)

Start Date
1959

American Art Agency, Parliament, call them what you will, they made a lot of different magazines. Among their most-used titles was Cloud 9. Cloud 9 suffered from an identity crisis. AAA would try a theme or format for a few issues, then try something else. Some of the magazines below were of the “black model” phase of the magazine, which lasted a few issues. Still, such a format was rare in this time period, so these were an uncommon glimpse into the world of 1960′s African-American babes. After an initially sporadic publishing schedule (there was an almost 3-year gap between Vol 2 No 1 and Vol 2 No 2), the title became steadily published for about 5 years, something of a record for AAA, although the format changed between pseudo lesbianism and couples.
