Jocelyn Lane, also known as Jackie Lane, (born May 16th, 1937) was a model and actress active in the 1960s. She was married to Prince Alfonso of Hohenlohe-Langenburg.
Early life
Lane was born Jocelyn Bolton in Vienna, Austria in 1937, the daughter of a Russian mother Olga Mironova, and an English father. She was educated in New Rochelle, New York, USA. At the age of 14, she moved to the United Kingdom where she received dance training. She is the younger sister of Mara Lane, a model.
Career
Lane established herself as a popular model in the UK by the time she was 18, using the pseudonym Jackie Lane. She appeared in several British films beginning in 1955 with a travelogue "April in Portugal". As she was confused with another actress named Jackie Lane (known for starring in Doctor Who), when Lane moved to Hollywood in 1964, she began to be credited with her full first name. Her resemblance to Bardot was widely remarked upon.
In 1965, she co-starred with Elvis Presley in Tickle Me and later appeared in several roles in Hollywood films, including as a "biker chick" in Hell's Belles in 1969. She also made guest appearances on American television series. She retired in the 1970s. She married Prince Alfonso of Hohenlohe-Langenburg in Marbella, Spain in February 1971.
Personal life
Lane gave birth to her only child, Princess Arriana Theresa Maria von Hohenlohe. In 1984, her marriage to Prince Alfonso ended in a divorce in which she received a million dollar settlement. She claimed that the sum "not really fitting for a princess".
Lane's hobbies include interior decorating and women's fashions. She is a successful designer of feather necklaces, and is the creator of the "Princess J Feather Collection," being marketed in California and London.
