Best for Men #4 June 1962
I just won this magazine in an ebay auction not too long ago.

Oddly enough, so did I, along with two other Best For Men mags. This magazine has been posted on eBay by four different sellers over the past week or so. "Re-posted" actually, because no one's been buying them. I guess this issue had a wide distribution.
Here's the ones I won:

The magazine is out there and some pages have been scanned, but not ALL of the pages. If you're planning to scan it, go ahead. I haven't received mine yet, but I have two other Best For Men mags to scan when they arrive.

Yes I was thinking of scanning this magazine.
I bid on magazine very limited. Up to a price of 6 or 7 dollars after that forget it.
I won't pay any higher.
Other magazines I won "SCAMP" May 1960 Vol 3 #6, Art and Camera July 1953.
May scan these soon also.

When you mentioned the Scamp
When you mentioned the Scamp magazine, I went looking for the cover. I found it, along with the list of models, here:

Looks interesting.
Scamp Magazine
Yeah I think I'll scan this Scamp magazine, some very nice color photos here and there,
I've got a few other mags I want to scan FRENCH FRILLS VOL1#1 (a bit wrinkled, it got wet at some point and is wrinkled,
and a bit falling apart) I want to scan that one soon, also one called "BLACK SILK STOLKINGS#4" from 1971. (a slick magazine
with some good photos in it).
One other one I have "Cavalier Annual" 1972 Edition (No Front or back cover, can't find the cover anywhere. also pages 55 thru 60 are missing.) Some really nice color photo's in this one. But would like to find the cover.
Sorry if I keep bothering you with messages, I just like talking to you.

I like talking to you too, my friend. You're not bothering me at all. I LOVE discussing these magazines. Here's the cover to that Cavalier Annual:

Thanks
Thanks for the Cover I didn't check that site, I forget all the sites that have covers now.
I finished scanning SCAMP. Lots of photo's in it.
You know if I had to get rid of these magazines (Not that I want to) you would be the first person I'd offer them to.
Because I know you would take care of them. I love these old mags, thanks to my older brother for most of them.
I have seen a few duplicates mostly of the Playboy stuff, but might be some dups of others.
Had some trouble with my old computer today, I only use it to SCAN mags with because it has Windows XP on it.
and my scanner will not work on windows 7. No Driver.

That's very kind of you. I'd
That's very kind of you. I'd do the same for you, if I could bear to part with them. The ones I'm scanning for G Barrett will either go back to him or up on ebay if he wants to sell them. That's pretty much his call. Some of them, however, will be pretty much destroyed after scanning. (I'm not above destroying a magazine to preserve it.)
I scan with Linux, but then I use Linux for pretty much everything. Newer versions still have the drivers for the old scanners.
Playboy, IMHO, came to be pretty boring after about 1967 or so. That's when it really started to believe its own hype and began filling up the pages with just about everything EXCEPT pictorials. Kind of like watching MTV today and realizing that there's no music on it.
